Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Financial Reporting
    • Prepare bank reconciliation and perform GL review for month-end closing process

    • Prepare monthly Financial Reports for submission to school supervisors/ Principal including for quarterly Board meeting

    • Prepare monthly Grant Utilisation Report for submission to school supervisors/ Principal

    • Manage and monitor Grant utilization and verify/approve grant submission reports to relevant funding agencies

  • External Audit       
    • Lead the team in preparation for external audit (stock take, year-end closing, prepare schedules)

    • Liaise with external auditors on audit requirements

    • Prepare/Review audit schedules

    • Prepare financial statements for Pathlight School

    • Ensure audited FS comply with MOE’s requirements

    • Coordinate Audit Committee Meeting and provide information for queries at Audit Committee Meeting

  • Internal Control
    • Review/revise Policies, SOPs and Procedures to comply with recommended practices 

    • Work with HODs and staff on SOP adherence

    • To work with various parties during internal audit

  • Budget Process
    • Work with all department heads on the Budget requirements and preparation

    • Consolidate budget and submit for approval to Principal/Supervisors/School Management Committee

    • Monthly tracking of budget vs actual

    • Proactively work with all department heads on quarterly budget tracking

  • Others
    • Complete Surveys issued by The Department of Statistics Singapore
    • Review and approve quarterly GST filing
    • Any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications like ACCA
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience with at least one year handling full set of accounts, if possible
  • Must be IT proficient and familiar with Microsoft suite of products
  • Be able to work independently and has good communication skills and analytical skills
  • Has strong interpersonal skills, a team player and have strong sense of responsibility
  • Experience in a voluntary welfare organisation or school environment will be an advantage
